A LOT OF people choose more conventional ways to raise money for cancer research…
…but American photographer Bob Carey has chosen something a bit different -wearing a pink tutu.
It’s a love story like no other…
…a man dons a pink tutu to take pictures of himself around America for his wife, who has been diagnosed with cancer. Bob Carey’s portraits have inspired people all around the world and Weekend TODAY caught up with him and his wife.

He calls it “The Tutu Project”. There is no direct logic to the decision to take these tutu self-portraits except, well, they work. Through their unexpected strangeness they point out the possibility of magic where you least expect it.
In case you were wondering, yes, Carey is wearing shorts underneath the tiny tutu.
Carey told the New York Daily News that the only time he’s faced trouble is when a police officer asked, “You got anything on under there?”
