Our Anniversary Celebration begins Friday night with a fundraiser. This event officially launches the bidding on a limited edition of 20 PocketWizard Plus® III radio triggers in “Tutu Pink”, made specifically for the Carey Foundation.  These are the same units Bob uses to trigger his cameras when photographing himself for The Tutu Project. Each unit is numbered and signed by Bob Carey.  PocketWizard will also be announcing a limited edition G-Wiz bag in “Tutu Pink”.

In honor of the one year anniversary, Bob also plans to unveil a brand new Ballerina image set in New York City.  Limited edition prints will also be sold at the event.  All net proceeds of the auction to benefit the Carey Foundation.  Follow us on Twitter for an opportunity to get invited to this event!

While Twitter and Facebook don’t need much of an introduction, we do love Buffer.  It allows you to create a queau of tweets or Facebook posts so that you aren’t abusing your fan’s Timelines or Twitter feeds.  So if you know you have 5 messages for a single day, you can schedule them to go out throughout the day.

New York – Sept. 20, 2012 (PRWeb.com) – This October the National Football League and its teams will be supporting The Tutu Project^TM by providing commercial photographer Bob Carey with access to select stadiums around the country to produce new images for The Tutu Project. This includes half-time photo opportunities at the New York Giants game at MetLife Stadium on October 7.  Breast cancer advocate Linda Carey will also be included as part of their halftime show so that she can be honored alongside other breast cancer survivors. Details for activities with other teams will be announced, including the Indianapolis Colts and the Arizona Cardinals.

“After seeing The Tutu Project’s inspirational photographs and learning more about the Carey’s efforts to help those who are affected by breast cancer, we knew our teams would want to show support,” said NFL Director of Community Affairs Anna Isaacson. “We are looking forward to launching our fourth annual Crucial Catch campaign this October, in partnership with the American Cancer Society, and we are pleased to be adding a relationship with The Tutu Project to our outreach.”

We have to admit that it’s a strange sensation to witness something that we have loved for so long influence others in such a meaningful way. We really never expected that Bob’s images would impact so many families dealing with breast cancer. And we certainly didn’t think that a man could become a symbol for breast cancer! We are humbled, flattered and honored, with all of the love, positive energy and attention from across our country – including Seattle! Recognize our most recent location?

Today Bob and I were ‘shadowed’ by a German television station.  We aren’t sure when it will air but it will be the first time that we air in a place that we don’t even speak the language!

It has been a while since we were in Times Square, and watching people’s reactions to Bob has always been a blast, except today was even more special. I had two wonderful ladies come up to me to thank us for our project. Being recognized is new to me since I’ve always been behind the scenes. They had both seen The Tutu Project on the Today Show, and shared that our project made someone special in their lives smile while they too dealt with the news of breast cancer. I’m so happy that our dream of making people smile when they most need it is coming true.
